After an early morning walk of 30 minutes, we have stayed indoors as the temperatures climbed. The actual temperature at the moment is 35C but that, with the humidity, gives a humidex reading of 113F or 45C. Too hot to even sit outside. Overnight the humidex is supposed to drop to 35, not a great deal of relief.
The air conditioner is battling away and the inside temperatures are around 26C, but it is cooler in the basement. Tonight we may open up the guest hide-a-bed and sleep there.
The warmth and humidity may break a little on Friday!
