Another person from the Red Lake district makes prime-time news.

One of my teacher friends from Red Lake tells me her son, Eric Radford of nearby Balmertown, is to be on CBC TV on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of Skate Canada International. Eric, and his pairs competition partner, Meaghan Duhamel of Lively, Ontario, will be "Looking for their second international medal..." according to an article by Martin Cleary in today's Ottawa Citizen.

The Skate Canada International competition is the second of six International Skating Union Senior Grand Prix competitions. Eric and Meaghan won bronze at the Nebelhorn Trophy event in Germany this summer.

If you have the opportunity, take the time to watch Eric and his partner perform. "Go, Canada, go!"
