March: like a lion

A heavy, wet snow overnight showed us that March has come in like a lion. 15 cm of snow with sleet, freezing rain and rain to follow. Our across the street neighbours are busy at work clearing their driveway before embarking on mine. The snowblower is giving them trouble too.




My driveway is next. Since snow shovelling is banned for people recovering from a heart attack, I am just an interested spectator. Thanks again must go to good neighnours..

The beauty of a light snowfall

A light snowfall overnight has transformed our garden into a winter wonderland.







The powdery snow gives beauty to the bushes as they sleep for the winter.







Willow fronds are dusted with the snow and gently wave in the breeze against the deep blue sky.







The apple tree looks as transformed and ethereal as it does in the springtime when covered in blossom.
