I finished this new sewing basket this morning and added it to my Etsy store later in the day. I am quite pleased with how it came out. The lid fits nicely on top, resting on the inside ledge I created. It flares out quite well, and the "trac" border is one I do not do as often as I should.
This picture, taken by Anne yesterday, was made during the basket's construction. My small library of books on basket-making is in the background. This picture will likely appear in the magazine, "Renaissance", in April this year. Renaissance is the magazine of the Retired Teachers of Ontario. The April issue focuses on "Transitioning through Retirement." Part of that issue will outline my adventures in Etsy. Other retirement stories will complete this issue. I am looking forward to see what is printed after an hour long phone interview yesterday.
