The things I do for art!

After donning my winter parka, my touque, and my gloves to take out the garbage etc. this morning, I decided today was a good day to dye the remainder of the flat cane I had in stock. To dye cane, I light my BBQ on the deck outside, and put on it a large stainless steel bowl with hot water, dye and salt. I then dip the cane through the mixture, and hang it to dry.

The outside temperature was a balmy -18 C or zero F. The hanging cane froze! Was it only the weather that was balmy?

The end product is now drying inside the house!
