Yesterday I took part in the annual Shriners' Golf Tournament at the Perth-on-the Tay Golf Course in Perth, Ontario, the oldest public golf course in Ontario. The golf carts are lined up here ready for the shot-gun start, with our carts leading the way on the front line.
The foursome I played with is shown here. From left to right we have Bliss Buchanan, me, Nick Odynski and Bill Thompson. Together, in a best ball round, we shot seven over par, a long way off the winning foursome that shot twelve under par. However, we were satisfied with our total. All contributed.
After a large steak or chicken dinner, a live auction and silent auction took place to raise funds for the in-construction Shriners' Children's Hospital in Montreal. The three baskets shown here were my contribution to that fund-raising activity.
The $60.00 or so raised added to the large sum raised in this charity event.
