The bathroom renovations are completed!

Today the glass wall partition for the shower was installed to complete the bathroom renovation. Once the silicone is dry, by tomorrow morning, we will be able to take showers once more in the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom will once again be reserved for guests.

The glass wall stretches from floor to ceiling. A two foot gap is the entrance way to the shower.

All in all, the renovations meet our expectations and then some.

Even the curtain rod, stainless steel towel rail looks good.

The bathroom: ready for painting.

The bathroom renovations are progressing very well. We can now prime the walls and then decide on the finishing coat's colour.

We have to wait another two weeks to try the new shower for that is when the glass wall will be installed. The glass wall measurements were taken today and the order placed too.

The shelf for the towels looks good as does both the soap holder and the rails for the bath mat.

The counter top is so shiny I still try to mop up the water that I think I see sitting on it.

The bulkhead with its pot lights looks great.

Progress on the bathroom renovations.

Three days into the bathroom renovation and real progress has taken place. The new cupboard and sink with the banjo top is on place.

A good start has been made in installing the tiles in the shower area.

The floor tiles are almost finished.

And with the pressure balanced shower fixtures I need no longer fear being scalded or frozen in the shower as the washing machine or the dish washer begins to operate.

Our bathroom pre-renovations.

Today workmen from the Electrical and Plumbing Store in Bells Corners arrived to begin demolishing our upstairs bathroom in readiness for major renovations to it. This is what it looked like before the work began. The shower/bath stall is a one piece vinyl unit.

The medicine cabinet is standard.

The vanity is basic too.

The toilet is basic and the floor is "tiled" in one-foot vinyl squares.

The shower doors are glass and the track it sits on is a dirt trap.

In a couple of weeks or so, the new bathroom and its fixtures will transform this space.
