On the first Saturday in December, Glen Cairn United Church holds its (City Wide) famous "Cookie Walk and Craft Fair." Well before the doors open at 9 00 am the corridor outside the hall is filled as far as the eye can see with expectant cookie purchasers.
Inside the hall the tables are full with cookies, with more ready to be distributed as soon as these are gone.
At 9 00 the doors open and the rush begins.
By 9 40 the cookies are thoroughly thinned out and the rush is slowing.
And by 11 00 all that is left are crumbs. Another successful Cookie Walk!
